Travel Support
There is a program to help defray the costs of attending ESEC/FSE 2023.
SIGSOFT Travel Support and Childcare Assistance
SIGSOFT provides travel and childcare support for students and researchers. More details about the SIGSOFT CAPS program can be found at https://sigsoft.org/caps/capsmain/.
If you are interested in travel support, please submit your complete application to https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/7490581/SIGSOFT-CAPS-Travel-Support-for-ESEC-FSE-2023 by October 6, 2023 (Friday).
Childcare applications are handled separately by emailing the SIGSOFT CAPS Coordinator (sigsoft_caps@acm.org). The deadline of CAPS childcare application is flexible, depending on the applicants’ needs and the availability of the funds.
NSF Support for US-based Participants
We are pleased to announce the NSF student travel support for ESEC/FSE 2023. This program seeks to support doctoral students, as well as master’s students and senior undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing Ph.D. studies in Software Engineering, for attending ESEC/FSE 2023. The travel award will come in the form of travel reimbursement. It will cover airfare, transportation, lodging, meals, and registrations for the main conference.
Recipients must be students at U.S. institutions. Priorities will be given to:
- Students whose participation improves the diversity of computing research.
- Applicants who could not attend without a travel award.
- Students participating in the Doctoral Symposium or Student Research Competition.
- Authors of papers accepted to the technical program, an FSE workshop, or a co-located event.
- U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
Please apply through this form. The application deadline is Oct 15 (including the reference letter). We expect to announce the recipients on Oct 20. If you have any questions, please email Tianyi Zhang (tianyi@purdue.edu) or Baishakhi Ray (rayb@cs.columbia.edu).
